## The Challenge

Huddlewise didn’t exist as a search term eight months ago. The company had spent three years building a name as TeamForge, a mid-market platform that helps HR and People teams plan in-person and hybrid corporate offsites and team retreats. When leadership rebranded to Huddlewise in early 2025, they kept the product and the client base, but they lost every bit of accumulated brand-search equity overnight.

That timing was rough. The corporate offsite space had exploded post-pandemic, with dozens of new retreat marketplaces and booking platforms competing for the same HR buyer. Huddlewise had real differentiators, including a done-for-you vendor network and transparent per-head pricing, but almost none of that showed up anywhere in search.

The site itself wasn’t broken. It read well and explained the product clearly to a human visitor. The problem was that it wasn’t built for search engines at all. Service pages were thin, there was no clear keyword targeting, and technical issues (slow-loading package pages, missing schema, weak internal linking) were quietly capping how far any of it could rank.

## The Strategy

We built the plan around three pillars, working in parallel rather than waiting for one phase to finish before starting the next.

### Keyword & Audience Mapping

- Full audience mapping exercise to identify how HR managers and People Ops leads actually search when they’re planning a retreat, not just how the company talks about itself internally
- Competitor gap analysis across the retreat-marketplace and virtual team-building space to find underserved keyword territory
- Prioritized keyword clusters around high-intent terms like corporate offsite planning, hybrid team retreat packages, and offsite venue booking

### Technical & Content Fixes

- Full technical SEO audit covering page speed, crawlability, schema markup, and internal linking structure
- New service pages built for previously-unaddressed offerings, including hybrid offsite packages and small-team retreat bundles
- Existing pages restructured around the priority keyword clusters, with clearer headers and stronger differentiation messaging

### Link Building Acceleration

- Baseline link velocity audit (Huddlewise was earning around 6 relevant links per week pre-engagement)
- Targeted outreach to HR industry publications, remote-work blogs, and event-planning directories
- Digital PR angles built around the rebrand story itself and original survey data on hybrid team retreats

## Execution

- Month 1: Kickoff, full technical audit, keyword and competitor research completed
- Month 2: Technical fixes shipped (site speed, schema, internal linking); first two new service pages drafted
- Month 3-4: New service pages launched; link outreach campaign begins targeting HR and event-planning publications
- Month 5-6: Link velocity ramps from 6 to 12 per week; existing pages refreshed around priority keyword clusters
- Month 7-8: Digital PR placements land off the survey-data angle; rankings for priority terms move onto page 1

## Results

### Traffic Growth

Organic sessions grew 158% over the 14-month engagement, climbing from a monthly baseline of about 3,100 sessions to 6,760 by month 8. Because Huddlewise was starting from close to zero brand-search equity after the rebrand, this counts as a low-baseline recovery rather than incremental growth on an already-established site.

### Keywords Improved

67 keywords reached page 1 of Google, out of roughly 95 total keywords that saw meaningful position improvement. The flagship term, corporate offsite planning, moved from position 22 to position 4. Huddlewise also picked up page-1 placement for hybrid team retreat and offsite venue booking, two terms that didn’t rank at all six months earlier.

### Links Acquired

Link velocity roughly doubled, going from 6 relevant links per week pre-engagement to 13 per week by the final phase. In total, Huddlewise picked up 28 new referring domains at DR 60 or higher, a 26% increase in overall referring domains for the site.

### Revenue Impact

The real test for a business like Huddlewise is qualified demand, not just traffic. Qualified demo requests grew 54%, from a baseline of 252 to 388 over the same period, as more of that organic traffic landed on the right package pages instead of bouncing off a generic homepage.

## Ready to Turn Search Into Pipeline?

A rebrand doesn’t have to mean starting from zero in search. With the right keyword targeting, technical fixes, and a real link building engine behind it, Huddlewise went from an unranked new name to page-1 placements and a real lift in qualified demand in under a year.
